Trade Flooring Warehouse is the heart and soul of a mother-son duo, Helen and Chester. Helen, with her 27 years of industry experience, started New Homes Flooring and built a successful business through her dedication and passion. Her journey began as a seamstress and interior designer, crafting beautiful wedding dresses and creating stunning interiors. This creativity and attention to detail naturally transitioned into the flooring industry, when she met Chester’s father, a professional floor layer.
Chester’s journey started in the construction industry at Bovis Homes, where his hard work quickly earned him promotions. In 2017, he joined forces with Helen, bringing his engineering background and fresh perspective to the business. Together, they’ve grown New Homes Flooring, and started Trade Flooring Warehouse, a place where every customer is treated like a customer.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many suppliers shut their doors, we remained open. We worked tirelessly to ensure families moving into new homes had the flooring they needed, proving our reliability and dedication in the toughest times. This experience reinforced our commitment to being a dependable partner for our customers and it what encouraged us to build on the wholesale side of our business, helping floor layers, builders, interior designers and now all businesses and consumers.

Beyond flooring, we’re passionate about adventure and giving back. We’ve hosted charity events, from pub quizzes to Christmas fairs, and challenged ourselves with the Three Peaks Challenge and a climb up Kilimanjaro which was exceptional. These experiences bring us closer as a team and enrich our company culture. We also enjoy lunch together regularly, with a fortnightly lunch rota that fosters a sense of community.
